Q:  How do I renew and/or return books?

A:  An email was sent to all Concordia College students on 3/13. The email stated the library extended the borrowing period

Concordia College’s Scheele Library has implemented a temporary policy that will extend the library’s borrowing period. Library borrowers do not have to visit the campus to return borrowed items at this time. All borrowed items must be returned to the library before June 30th. All borrowed items not returned by June 30th  will be declared lost and students’ accounts will be charged the cost of the item and a non-refundable $10.00 fee.

Please use the library's book return slot to drop off books. The book return slot is located next to the library's main doors. (the return slot is on the left side of the main doors).

Q: Why didn't I receive the database article I emailed?

A: Check your email JUNK Folder

Q: How can I find eBooks?  There are 3 options:

Option 1:  Go to the Library Catalog, choose Advance Search, and click on "eBooks."  

 

 

Option 2: Log onto the database Academic Search Complete,   click on "Choose Databases" on top left, and click on eBook Collection.

 

Option 3: Find eBooks on Google Books Advance Search option and choose "Full View Only"

Q: Can I still request articles through ILL?

A: Yes, but with many colleges and libraries working remotely, it may take longer to fill, if at all. It may be best to contact a librarian to help with search strategies.

Q:  I clicked on an eBook link in the catalog, but it  doesn’t work.  What can I do?

A:  Refresh the page, and if that doesn’t work, try another browser, such as Chrome or Firefox.   If that still doesn’t work,  please contact us.

Q: I can't access the databases

A: Are you clicking on Resources (linked) from the Library Home page (linked)? Your username and password are the same as Blackboard and CCNY email.
